JACK CASSIDY (Byron Prong) Mr. Cassidy won enthusiastic response and a Tony for his portrayal of a dashing Hungarian lover in last season's She Loves Me. He first appeared on the Broadway stage in Michael Todd's Something for the Boys, followed by some fifteen other musicals including Inside U.S.A., Small Wonder, South Pacific and Wish You Were Here in which he played his first major role. His characterization of an Irish immigrant in the musical drama Sandhog, a Phoenix Theatre production, was singled out as one of the outstanding performances of the season. Mr. Cassidy traveled far from his birthplace, Long Island, when he toured Europe for ANTA as Curley in Oklahoma! He later starred in Wonderful Town at the Brussells World Fair and at London's Palladium where he also appeared in his own musical television series. His dramatic television appearances include Alfred Hitchcock Theatre, Wagon Train, Maverick, 77 Sunset Strip and in a musical vein, the Garry Moore Show and the Bell Telephone Hour. He is well represented on records. His show albums include some collector's items: On Your Toes, Babes in Arms, The Boys From Syracuse, Roberta and, of course, She Loves Me.
