JACK CASSIDY (Kodaly), a Long Islander, first made his appearance on the Broadway stage in Michael Todd's Something for the Boys, followed by fifteen other musicals, including Inside U.S.A., Around the World, Small Wonder and South Pacific. He won fine praise and impetus to his career in his first big role, the lead, in Wish You Were Here, followed by starring roles in Shangri-la and the New York City Center's Beggars Opera, in which he played MacHeath. Portraying an Irish immigrant in the musical play Sandhog, a Phoenix Theatre production, his was often mentioned as one of the outstanding performances of the season. He starred in Europe in Oklahoma! as Curley in Paris and Rome, in Wonderful Town at the Brussels World's Fair and at the Palladium in London. He also appeared in his own television musical series in London. Displaying his versatility, he played a dramatic role for fourteen weeks in Los Angeles when he portrayed the title role in John Osborne's Epitaph for George Dillon. Mr. Cassidy's television credits include dramatic appearances in Wagon Train, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Dick Powell Anthology, U.S. Steel Hour, and, in a lighter vein, in Hennessy, The Real McCoys and The Steve Allen Show.
